Evaluation of the performance of metal oxide nano coagulants in coagulation and flocculation reactors
摘要
One of the ways to combat dehydration is to use the wastewater of various industries. One of the most effective units in the wastewater treatment process is the mechanical-chemical treatment unit. In this research, the outlet wastewater from the gravity filtration unit enters the mechanical-chemical purification unit. In this unit, nano-coagulant and auxiliary coagulant are used to precipitate the solutes and pollutants in the wastewater. The average size of nano coagulants used is 40 nanometers. The presented results for the chemical-mechanical purification unit show that the optimal volume of sodium carbonate is equal to 1600 ml. Also, the most optimal stirring speed in the first reactor is 170 rpm. The results show that the ferric oxide-aluminum oxide coagulant pair has a better performance in the wastewater treatment process than the zinc oxide-aluminum oxide coagulant pair.
