<p>The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected the lives of people with disabilities, exposing and exacerbating existing problems in access to education, healthcare, and other important areas of life. This study explores how COVID-19 impacted persons with disabilities living in Kosovo, specifically in the municipality of Prizren. Several research methods were used, including analytical, comparative, descriptive, and structural. Results demonstrate persons with disabilities commonly experience difficulty related to limited access to education and medical services, and communicating with authorities, as well as financial difficulties. Psychological problems also manifested during the pandemic. Based on the analysis of the actions of the local authorities regarding the support of this population group in the given conditions, it was established that municipal actions were insufficient to solve all the problems. The results obtained in the research process can be used to develop more effective policies for the support of public authorities to people with disabilities in pandemic and other crisis situations.</p>
