Ein einfaches Verfahren zur Kalibrierung mechanischer Parameter exzentrisch rotierender Zeilenscanner

Rotating scanner lines produce panoramic images. These are characterized by a high resolution. If the line camera does not rotate around the projection centre, this eccentricity must be taken into account if the high accuracy is to be used at close range. If the axis of rotation does not intersect the optical axis of the system, the eccentricity must be described by two parameters. This has not been done for imaging systems to date. If the camera even rotates around an inclined axis of rotation, three eccentricity parameters are necessary for modelling the image and for direct geometric referencing. Here, it is proposed to determine these three parameters with millimetre accuracy by taking pictures of a level rod: A vertically positioned level rod, which is suitable for precision levelling, is repeatedly taken at different inclinations. The radius of the inclination circle is determined from the image coordinates of the scale by means of a two-dimensional resection. Using the inclinations derived from the measurements, the radius is broken down into two orthogonal components of the eccentricity. The third component is obtained by recording a levelling rod that is exactly horizontal. The internal orientation of the camera and the orthogonality of the rotation axes and the sensor line are required. The method was developed and applied for a HySpex-VNIR 3000N that rotates motor-driven on a standard tripod from the manufacturer. The eccentricities for the three orthogonal directions are around 21, 11 and 5 cm, and their precision is in the millimetre range. They are relevant for pixel-precise georeferencing up to a recording distance of one kilometre.
