Die analoge Photogrammetrie für terrestrische thematische Anwendungen in ausgewählten Spektralbereichen

With the dynamic development of new digital recording technologies, terrestrial spectral methods for various thematic applications are not only experiencing a renaissance in many specialist topics but new application possibilities are also opening up. In the resulting publications, mostly professional user journals, the impression is given that a new process and a new field of application have been developed. Often, these topics were already considered relevant decades ago, and processing was done with the sensors and methods that were current at the time. Probably one of the reasons for giving the impression of a new application field is that this old literature is not available on the internet. The aim of this article is to give an overview of the various applications of terrestrial analog spectral photographic methods in Germany. Thematically, the examples primarily focus on the areas of geology, mining, soil science, and vegetation. The examples are preceded by a brief overview of the cameras, films, and filters available during this already “historical” period.
