Green-Lindsay Thermoelasticity Model in Two-Dimensional Bounded Micro-Media
摘要
This work investigates the effects of microscale parameters appearing in modified strain gradient theory and modified couple stress theory on the dynamic thermoelastic response of a two-dimensional micro-media. Initially, the governing generalized thermoelasticity equations of two-dimensional finite micro-media based on Green-Lindsay thermoelasticity model and modified strain gradient and modified couple stress micro continuum theories are derived in two-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system. A consistent finite element model with a combination of Hermit and linear shape functions is considered to solve the governing equations. The finite element solution is based on applying direct Galerkin method on the coupled thermoelasticity equations of two-dimensional micro-media. Both thermal and traction loading are applied on the plane and the dynamic response of mentioned loads is presented. For solving the final set of algebraic matrix differential equations in the time domain the well-known Newmark time integration method is used.
