摘要

This study presents a comprehensive investigation into the shear capacity of corroded reinforced concrete beams. Through a combination of experimental testing and analytical research, valuable insights into the effects of corrosion on the shear resistance of concrete structures have been obtained. The key findings of this study include the progressive increase in corrosion-induced crack distribution and width with rising corrosion rates, the general decrease in load-bearing capacity and beam stiffness as corrosion rates increase, and the significant contribution of stirrups to the load-bearing capacity of beams with corrosion. Additionally, equations for calculating the shear capacity of corroded reinforced concrete beams, include with or without stirrups were developed and validated with comprehensive datasets, the coefficient related by corrosion rate and shear capacity was derived through regression analysis of experimental data, providing a reliable means to predict the shear capacity of corroded concrete beams.
