Free Vibration and Static Analysis of Cylindrical Sandwich Shell Panels with Honeycomb Cores
摘要
This paper considers the bending and free vibration responses of cylindrical sandwich shallow shell panels of rectangular, skew, and trapezoidal planforms having regular hexagonal honeycomb cores with different boundary conditions. The shear effect is examined by employing the first-order shear deformation theory. The simple hp-cloud method is utilized for discretizing the equations. The equilibrium equations are expressed according to the virtual work principle. The proposed method is used to consider the effects of thickness-to-side ratio, side-to-radius ratio, aspect ratio, mid-surface shape, and boundary conditions on the responses of cylindrical honeycomb sandwich shell panels with a low computational cost.
