Development of approaches for forming complex profile parts from Al–Cu alloys using the metal fused filament fabrication technology
摘要
Additive manufacturing methods of the fabrication metal parts are widely implemented in many production processes. This work demonstrates the possibility to produce parts from Al–Cu alloy with copper content about 10% using Al–Cu powder prepared by simultaneous electrical explosion of two wires and metal fused filament fabrication technology, which allows using common 3D printers. The powder, feedstock based on it and parts obtained as a result of sintering at 560 °C for 1, 4 and 6 h have been characterized. It has been found that with increasing sintering time the samples’ relative density increases from 68.1 to 94.6%, also the microhardness increases from 45.6 to 98.2 HV and the compressive and bending strength increases as well.
