<p>This article focuses on professionals in further education institutions who plan courses for early childhood educators in the field of digital education. Increasing digitalization is also affecting the daycare system and requires educational professionals to become more professional at various levels. Further training can help to promote the skills of professionals. However, it is currently unclear how these courses are planned. For an in-depth insight, 16&#xa0;planners were interviewed between December 2023 and March 2024. The findings of the study show that digital education is included in programs with few events. In addition, experts prefer presentational formats and a&#xa0;low-threshold, practice-oriented approach. Planners consider the area of education to be important, but there is some reluctance on the part of professionals. This is also reflected in the moderate to unstable demand for further training courses. When events were attended, professionals gave predominantly positive feedback. In addition to the planning process, other success factors for the professionalization of specialists in this area of education can be identified from the information provided by the planners.</p>
