Die Rolle der Weiterbildung in der Ära von New Work: Perspektiven auf die Bedeutung von Lernen in der Personalentwicklung
摘要
A multitude of transformation processes, such as digitalization, demographic change, immigration, and generational shifts are profoundly reshaping the world of work, and increasingly demand individual self-organization. The concepts of New Work and New Learning signify a reconfiguration of the relationship between work and individuals, emphasizing flexibility and self-determination. In this context, in-company continuing education is gaining importance as a means to support structural change, with personnel development playing a key role at the intersection of work and learning. However, the discourse on New Work and New Learning is predominantly shaped by (business) economic perspectives, while adult education, though affected, remains underrepresented. This article addresses this gap by exploring how learning is understood within New Work frameworks and how continuing education functions as a tool for shaping transformation. The analysis is based on problem-centered interviews with personnel developers and a qualitative content analysis.
