Betriebliche Weiterbildungsorientierung und Nachhaltigkeitsengagement
摘要
The sustainability debate has increasingly become the focus of vocational education in recent years. On the one hand, the socio-ecological transformation is influencing vocational education, and on the other, its implementation requires vocational education, especially continuing training. However, the associated theoretical and empirical discourse has so far only been marginal. In this article, quantitative company data is combined with qualitative interview data in a mixed methods design in order to investigate, among other things, the question of how company-based continuing training orientation is related to sustainability commitment in and from the company. The results show that there is a positive correlation between a company’s focus on further training and its commitment to sustainability. However, in addition to in-company training, other areas and activities of the company are also in demand for the implementation of corporate sustainability goals, such as controlling or logistics.
