A Rare Case of Follicular Dendritic Cell Sarcoma Masquerading as Ovarian Sex Cord Stromal Tumor
摘要
Follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) are specialized accessory cells of the immune system that are neither lymphoid nor phagocytic. They play a vital role in antigen presentation and immune modulatory responses the within germinal centers. Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) is an uncommon malignancy that exhibits low to intermediate potential for aggressive behavior. Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) typically involves the lymph nodes, but it can also occur in several extra nodal sites, such as the oral cavity, tonsils, gastrointestinal tract, and liver. Female genital tract is one of the rarest site of FDCS. Here we present a case of adnexal FDCS in a 17 year old girl.
