Introduction <p>Carcinoma cervix is still here and hidden, especially in underserved populations. We present a case of an uneducated 42-year-old lady with cervical cancer, presenting for the first time as bleeding in the second trimester.</p> Case <p>She had large involved pelvic lymph nodes compressing the pelvic vessels and multiple comorbidities, including anemia. Treatment modalities are established for carcinoma cervix but implementing them in pregnancy opened a ‘pandora box’ of concerns. We discuss the challenges and issues in the termination of pregnancy and radiotherapy in the management of advanced carcinoma in pregnancy.</p> Conclusion <p>Carcinoma cervix is rare in pregnancy but a careful examination can clinch the diagnosis. A multidisciplinary team approach for management is required, with appropriate discussion with the patient.</p>

Introduction

Carcinoma cervix is still here and hidden, especially in underserved populations. We present a case of an uneducated 42-year-old lady with cervical cancer, presenting for the first time as bleeding in the second trimester.

Case

She had large involved pelvic lymph nodes compressing the pelvic vessels and multiple comorbidities, including anemia. Treatment modalities are established for carcinoma cervix but implementing them in pregnancy opened a ‘pandora box’ of concerns. We discuss the challenges and issues in the termination of pregnancy and radiotherapy in the management of advanced carcinoma in pregnancy.

Conclusion
