Dedifferentiated Endometrioid Cancer Is a Rare Morphological Variant of Uterus Cancer
摘要
Eight different morphological variants of endometrial cancer were described in WHO 2020. A rare morphological variant of undifferentiated and well-differentiated components of endometrial cancers is dedifferentiated endometrial cancer.
ObjectiveThe purpose of this case is to report a rare morphological variant comprising < 2% of all types of endometrioid cancers, aggressive tumours, and poor prognosis, and it originates from pre-existing tumours or de novo.
Differential diagnosisIt should be differentiated from high-grade endometrial cancer, carcinosarcoma, endometrial stromal sarcoma, clear cell carcinoma, and serous carcinoma for therapeutic purposes.
CaseHere, we are presenting a rare morphological variant of endometrial cancer that is DEC (dedifferentiated endometrial cancer).
