Muddling Lymphadenopathy in a Case of Carcinoma Endometrium: A Case Report

Endometrial carcinoma is seen commonly in the women of postmenopausal age group (Dalal et al. in Indian J Gynecol Oncolog 18:57, 2020). Usually, it is diagnosed and detected at an early stage with very high chances of survival. Uterine cancer primarily drains into the pelvic and retroperitoneal lymph nodes.

Involvement of axillary and retropectoral lymph nodes is not heard in carcinoma endometrium. We present this case where the lady presented as case of carcinoma endometrium with a past history of chikungunya fever with widespread lymphadenopathy with positive positron emission tomography scan (PET) which created diagnostic dilemma about management.

Sometimes the reports and imaging may create diagnostic dilemma. Hence the history taking and counselling is of prime importance.
