Clear Cell Carcinoma of the Ovary with Isolated Contiguous Hepatopulmonary Metastasis-A Case Report on a Surgically Challenging, Rare Presentation
摘要
Clear cell carcinoma of the ovary [CCCO] patients generally present at a younger age and at an early stage with symptoms due to the primary tumor. Metastasis of CCCO without intra-abdominal disseminated disease is extremely rare. We encountered a patient of CCCO who presented with symptoms due to large isolated hepatopulmonary metastasis and was later found to have no intra-abdominal dissemination. She underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy and a staged procedure. The complexity of the presentation, diagnosis, and surgical procedure are documented in this case report.
