摘要

Background

Multiple primary cancers pose a dilemma in patient diagnosis and management. These are usually characterised by shared etiological and genetic risk factors.

Case Report

We report an unusual case of synchronous breast and cervical cancer in a 56 year old multiparous postmenopausal lady. These two tumours have contrasting risk factors in terms of parity and socio-demographic characteristics. A modified treatment plan was adapted to optimally address both the malignancies with good clinical outcome.

Conclusion

This case highlights how an unusual combination of cancers can be managed with a tailored treatment plan without compromising the oncological and patient safety.
