<p>Climate change poses severe challenges to water resource management, threatening the sustainability of agricultural systems, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions. Water security is a critical indicator of agricultural resilience, yet limited research has systematically analyzed the structural factors influencing water security at the farm level. This study addresses this gap by comprehensively assessing water security determinants in farming systems within Hamedan province, Iran. Data were collected from 270 agricultural households selected via a two-stage sampling method from a population of 103,228. A validated questionnaire measured adaptive capacity, socio-personal characteristics, and agro-technical traits, with data analysis conducted using SMART PLS3 and SPSSwin25. Results indicate that these factors collectively explain 72.6% of the variance in water security. Policy recommendations emphasize strengthening farmers' adaptive capacity, addressing socio-economic disparities, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Additionally, integrating water security into agricultural policies, investing in infrastructure, and fostering stakeholder collaboration are crucial to enhancing resilience and long-term sustainability.</p>
