摘要

Processing Kolsky bar data can be confusing due to the many choices offered in literature that exist for correcting or improving the signals collected during an experiment. These choices make consistent processing between experiments challenging and subjective to the user processing the data. In this proposed method, calibration experiments are performed and propagating distances for wave dispersion correction are optimized by a cross-correlation function. These steps result in a calibrated Kolsky bar system where subsequent experiments can be processed without further user input. This approach allows for automated processing of experiments performed on the same setup and utilizes the Pochhammer-Chree solution for wave dispersion correction as a means for calibration/optimization.
