<p>Recently, artificial upwelling has attracted worldwide attention because of its potential to increase aquaculture productivity. In this paper, the hydraulic performance of a novel device for artificial upwelling is discussed. First<b>,</b> a mathematical model of a novel wave-driven artificial upwelling device is developed and its calculation is carried out by the MATLAB program. The validation of a novel mathematical model is carried out using ANSYS/AQWA software (Hydrodynamic Analysis Program). Finally, the variation of an upwelled amount of an artificial upwelling device according to various geometrical parameters is considered. We can use the above calculation result to predict a performance of a novel wave-driven artificial upwelling device.</p>
