<p>We establish a necessary and sufficient relationship among three-term identities, summation formulas, and matrix inversions. We also consider the impact of factors in three-term identities on inversion pairs. As an application, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the <InlineEquation ID="IEq1"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\((\alpha , \beta )\)</EquationSource> <EquationSource Format="MATHML"><math> <mrow> <mo stretchy="false">(</mo> <mi>α</mi> <mo>,</mo> <mi>β</mi> <mo stretchy="false">)</mo> </mrow> </math></EquationSource> </InlineEquation>-inversion formula, which unifies many inversion formulas.</p>

摘要

We establish a necessary and sufficient relationship among three-term identities, summation formulas, and matrix inversions. We also consider the impact of factors in three-term identities on inversion pairs. As an application, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the \((\alpha , \beta )\) ( α , β ) -inversion formula, which unifies many inversion formulas.
