摘要

This review critically examines the potential of a lithium-ion sieve based on titanium for recovering lithium from geothermal brine. Geothermal brine is recognized as a valuable source of lithium, yet its extraction poses notable technical and economic challenges. This study focuses on titanium-based sieves, presenting them as a promising solution due to their high selectivity for lithium ions and efficient adsorption capabilities. The review delves into optimizing sieve design, encompassing pore sizes, surface modifications, and composite materials. The objective is to enhance lithium adsorption capacity and selectivity, thereby improving the overall efficiency of the recovery process. Additionally, the scalability of this technology is explored, with considerations for manufacturing processes and integration into existing lithium production infrastructure. A crucial aspect of the review is examining titanium-based sieves' long-term performance and durability in geothermal brine conditions. Challenges such as fouling and the impact of impurities on sieve efficiency are thoroughly discussed. By addressing these concerns, the review provides insights into the potential effectiveness of titanium-based lithium-ion sieves for sustainable lithium extraction from geothermal brine. This comprehensive analysis is a valuable resource for researchers, engineers, and stakeholders interested in advancing lithium recovery technologies, offering a nuanced exploration of the technological aspects without delving into specific pricing details or corrosion-related discussions.
