摘要

Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is a mathematical tool that can be used to represent any information system effectively. The core idea of FCA, a recent field of study, based on a set-theoretical model for any information system, is ‘concept lattice (CL)’ which is built by the concepts and conceptual hierarchies present in the formal context. FCA is a widely used tool for knowledge discovery in a variety of domains. It depicts the knowledge present in the databases under three aspects: underlying concepts, CLs, and association rules. Among these, CLs play a more significant role in the knowledge representation schema of available information. This review article briefs out about recent research works carried out by researchers on CLs and aims to help new researchers find the research gap in CL-oriented information retrieval methods through FCA.
