Solving Multi Objective Programming Problems Using Target Setting in DEA

Data Envelopment Analysis and Multiobjective Programming have many similarities. There are works which use MOLP methods to solve DEA problems in the literature. A method for finding nondominated solutions of MOLP is developed here using target setting in DEA. The method identifies an efficient frontier using some known nondominated solutions and then projects a feasible solution to the frontier using a target setting model in DEA. The method can be very well used for finding nondominated solutions of MOILP and MOLFP. Some MONLPs are also solved with the help of the developed model. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the method.
