Future of Digital Economy in Economics: An Intelligent Pythagorean Fuzzy Decision-Making Algorithm for Analyzing Key Influencing Factors

The analysis of factors shaping the future of the digital economy plays a vital role in formulating intelligent strategies for sustainable economic growth. With the rise of digital transformation, assessing these factors using robust and tested decision-making methods is becoming increasingly essential. This study proposes an intelligent approach, the Pythagorean fuzzy RANCOM-CoCoFISo (PyF-RANCOM-CoCoFISo) method, to handle uncertainty and hesitation in expert evaluations. The technique integrates ranking comparison (RANCOM) for criteria weighting and combined compromise for ideal solution (CoCoFISo) for alternative ranking within Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PyFS). Seven critical criteria are identified by consulting experts and evaluating forty digital strategies. The results indicate that the rural connectivity mission is best suited to make a difference, stressing that bridging the divide in rural and urban internet access is key to economic inclusion. Sensitivity and comparison analyses confirm the robustness and superiority of the proposed method over existing multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approaches.
