“Discovering Finance”: Insights from a Financial Education Initiative in Italy’s Primary Schools
摘要
This study evaluates the short-term impact of a small-scale financial education program, “Discovering Finance”, targeted at fifth-grade primary school students in Italy. Drawing on a controlled field experiment, we estimate the program’s effect on financial literacy while controlling for individual and household background factors, including proxies for informal financial education received at home. The findings reveal a significant positive effect on participants’ financial knowledge, highlighting the potential of early financial education initiatives.
