Development path of intelligent, safe, green coal mining and clean, efficient utilization technology

Energy security is the cornerstone of national security and stable development. Coal is the safest, most economical, and most reliable energy source that China can utilize to achieve intelligent green development and clean, efficient energy use at this stage. The coupled development and utilization of coal and new energy are essential directions for China’s future energy development. The article systematically analyzes the remarkable achievements and challenges faced by China’s coal industry in various aspects, including digital transformation and intelligent construction, as well as the pursuit of safe, green, and efficient development, and the clean, low-carbon, and efficient utilization of coal resources. It proposes that the technology of intelligent mining systems should be gradually reformulated, and a technical system for autonomous decision-making, control, and intelligent operation and maintenance should be developed, thereby effectively enhancing the reliability and intelligence level of mining system operations. Focus on developing high-precision detection of multi-source collaborative geological information and multi-modal geological data 3D modeling technology, and enhance the level of advanced detection, prediction, and early warning of geological disaster information. By constructing a new generation of “cloud-edge-end” intelligent security monitoring system, precise perception of underground disaster information, fusion analysis of multiple disaster types, and advanced prediction, warning, and prevention can be realized. Conduct research on intelligent open-pit equipment and low-carbon/zero-carbon green mining systems for large-scale continuous open-pit mining technology, including data processing, control, and feedback system collaborative operation, to achieve large-scale, intelligent, and green development of open-pit coal mines. Promote the application of new technologies, processes, and equipment in coal washing systems, and enhance the intelligence level of key links in the washing process. Focus on implementing technologies such as in-situ coal pyrolysis coupled with renewable energy, low-cost and high-efficiency removal of coal-fired flue gas pollutants, and resource utilization of products, as well as the conversion of coal into high-end chemical products. Gradually expand the scenarios of coupled development and utilization of coal and new energy. Explore the construction of a unified national market intelligent control system for the coal industry, gradually realizing on-demand supply of coal resources, intelligent and flexible development, clean and high-quality transformation, and utilization, thereby forming an integrated, coordinated energy supply and consumption pattern of coal, electricity, and chemicals.
