摘要

This study made two new amino triazine chitosan (CNDHT and CNDT) and tested if they could reduce steel corrosion in an acidic solution. The chitosan derivatives inhibition effect of Low-carbon steel (LWCS) corrosion in 0.5-M H2SO4 at different temperatures, which are used in the acid pickling process, were studied using gravimetric, impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and potentiodynamic polarization techniques. The Metrohm autolab PGSTAT30 2N of Nova software version 1.11.2 was used to conduct and analyze the runs and show that chitosan derivatives (CNDHT and CNDT) act as effective corrosion inhibitors for LWCS in 0.5-M H2SO4 with inhibition efficiency reached about 75 and 79%, respectively, at a concentration of 0.1 g L–1. The impact of exposure time on CNDHT and CNDT at 25 °C was studied using weight loss. The absorption parameters were obtained from the linear fitting of the experimental data to Langmuir, Temkin, Flory, and Frumkin models and the kinetic-thermodynamic models.
