<p>Mastering pathology and other biomedical science disciplines requires integrating complex biomedical concepts. The emergence of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), based on large language models (LLMs), presents a valuable opportunity to enhance health sciences education. In response, we developed a series of task-focused prompt-based assistants (PAs) designed to support effective student learning and faculty teaching basic medical science courses in undergraduate education. Our study describes the application of five standardized PAs for self-study, interactive activities, assessment creation, and how GenAI LLMs can play a transformative role in fostering active learning environments to drive curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.</p>
