<p>There is a scarcity of research regarding how ChatGPT can be integrated in dental curricula to develop the understanding of students regarding informed consent. Our study implemented an educational exercise where D3 dental students compared ChatGPT-generated consent forms with professionally validated consent forms, qualitatively assessing the educational value that the chatbot provides in this setting. The findings of the present study encourage dental educators to acknowledge the importance of supervised learning in helping the next generations of dentists prepare for the safe use of AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, in their future practice.</p>
