摘要

In the contemporary context where the tension between globalization and localization is intensifying, the essence of cultural inheritance has transcended the physical boundaries of geographical space, evolving into a semiotic proposition concerning "liquid modernity." The transmedial practice of the television drama Northward, anchored in the cultural symbolism of the Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal, constructs a "liquid communication" paradigm for regional cultural inheritance within the tension between "indigenous cultural DNA" and "globalized expression." This paradigm represents neither a static preservation of traditional culture nor a blind submission to the discourse of modernity; instead, it achieves a trans-temporal dialogue between historical traditions and contemporary values through the dynamic transformation of cultural genes. This practice reflects the core logic of regional cultural inheritance in the era of globalization: only by converting the "genius loci" (spirit of place) into narratable and perceptible semiotic codes can we form sticky bonds of identity amid cultural fluidity.
