摘要

Hypoparathyroidism (HPT) is an endocrine disease characterised by hypocalcaemia. It causes neurological, renal, bone and eye symptoms, impairing quality of life (QoL). Therapy is based on vitamin D and calcium; PTH is used in refractory cases. QoL is assessed by generic (SF-36) or specific (HPES, HPQ-28) questionnaires. The use of these questionnaires can be very useful in clinical practice, although currently not recommended by guidelines. New therapies such as palopegteriparatide improve disease control and patient well-being.
