Bone remodelling is controlled by hormones and endocrine diseases are cause of bone fragility and increased risk of fractures, representing up to the 40% of osteoporosis patients referred to the bone specialist. The skeletal phenotype of endocrine diseases is often characterised by specific clinical and radiological signs and by changes in circulating bone markers with can be useful for their diagnosis. Here, the main clinical settings are described.
