Disturbi del controllo degli impulsi in pazienti con tumori ipofisari trattati con dopamino-agonisti
摘要
Dopamine agonists (DA) are drugs used to treat different pituitary disorders, including hyperprolactinaemia and PRL-, GH- and ACTH-secreting adenomas. The most commonly used is cabergoline. This class of drugs can induce the development of impulse control disorders (ICD) as a side effect. Currently, the prevalence and factors associated with the onset of ICD associated with DA treatment in patients with pituitary disorders are not well defined. The data available in the literature are controversial, probably due to the heterogeneity of the studies carried out in this field and the lack of standardised tools that can be used to search these side effects.
