“Gender incongruence” refers to the condition of the person who was assigned a specific gender at birth but who, during psychosexual development, identifies with a different gender; the result could be a condition of discomfort, which takes the name of “gender dysphoria”. This article elucidates the surgical path and the surgical techniques used to reduce gender dysphoria in people assigned male at birth (AMAB). Specifically, an update is presented on: facial feminisation surgery, chondrolaryngoplasty and vocal surgery, breast augmentation, clitorolabioplasty and orchidectomy.
