Trattamento con le onde d’urto nella disfunzione erettile
摘要
Low-intensity shockwave therapy (LI-ESWT) emerges as a promising treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). This non-invasive therapy enhances penile blood flow using acoustic waves, leading to positive effects on erectile function. Growing evidence supports the effectiveness of LI-ESWT. Key advantages of this method include non-invasiveness, minimal side effects, and the ability to perform the procedure in an outpatient setting. However, the cost of the method, the need for multiple sessions, and the non-guaranteed efficacy for all patient classes with ED represent some limitations. The long-term benefits of this therapy are still uncertain, and there is still a lack of a clear characterization of the patients who could benefit most from this therapy
