Ormoni e citochine ossei target delle terapie dei disordini osteometabolici e dell’osteoporosi
摘要
Cytokines-mediated crosstalk between osteoblasts and osteoclasts is under investigation to identify new targets for the treatment of osteometabolic disorders. Among targets of the actual antiosteoporotic drugs there are the cytokines RANKL (denosumab) and sclerostine (romosozumab), while FGF23 is the target of burosumab. The future research for osteometabolic disorders will expand towards small interference RNAs which silence expression of genes involved in the crosstalk, such as RANK and SEMA4D.
