Impatto della terapia ormonale gender affirming sulla qualità seminale e preservazione della fertilità in soggetti transgender assegnati maschi alla nascita (AMAB)

Gender-affirming hormone therapy could have adverse effects on testicular morphology and semen quality, reducing the fertility of transgender assigned male at birth (AMAB). Therefore, it is recommendable to perform fertility preservation (PF) before starting this treatment. This review highlights the concerns related to PF among the transgender population such as cost, dysphoria related to semen collection and the desire to start treatment immediately.
