The assessment of response to tyrosine kinase inhibitors treatment in patients with thyroid carcinoma is a widely debated topic; in recent years, PET/CT has been demonstrating its fundamental role because metabolic response is often earlier than the morphological response, especially when cytostatic drugs are used. This review aims to report the scientific evidence on the issue.
