<p>Trial-based functional analysis (TBFA) is an evidence-based method for identifying the function of challenging behavior, yet opportunities for training practitioners remain limited in Japan. The present study evaluated the efficacy and feasibility of a combined training sequence that included computer-based instruction (CBI) materials delivered asynchronously followed by behavioral skills training (BST) delivered via telehealth, using a pre–post design with role-play assessments. Participants’ knowledge of the TBFA procedure improved significantly after CBI (<i>Z</i> = −2.670, <i>p</i> = .008, <i>r</i> = .89), but this knowledge alone was insufficient for accurate implementation. Procedural integrity increased substantially following BST with the lead researcher, with most participants reaching mastery after one or two practice trials, although some declines were observed at follow-up. All participants rated the training package as socially valid. These findings suggest that while CBI can effectively increase knowledge, the full training package, including interactive BST components, is essential for procedural skill acquisition and maintenance.</p>
