<p>Artificial Intelligence and their derived Generative technologies are playing a crucial role in many applications that involve an active collaboration among machine assistants and human users. That is the case for <i>User Experience</i> courses that allowed students and instructors work together with Generative Artificial Intelligence tools to produce a collaborative design. The main purpose of this research consisted in reviewing several stages in design tasks that could take advantage of Artificial Intelligence tools by boosting a prompt-based conversation among instructors and students. Results obtained through the use of these tools demonstrated their huge potential in facilitating co-creative tasks. In this context, a first cohort of students was able to collaborate on the ideation of <i>User Experience</i> projects by exchanging prompts to define persona profiles and checking their suitability. A second cohort was involved in the joint assessment of testing mockups related to the design of three website proposals. Certain barriers were identified in the application of these Generative tools to implement Web development tasks. Anyway, Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies have enabled new instructional scenarios supporting the elaboration and evaluation of <i>User Experience</i> courses.</p>

Using Generative AI Tools in Collaborative UX design Courses
