Purpose of Review <p>Tremendous strides have been made in preventing respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) disease in infants over the past 10 years. Stabilization of the RSV fusion (F) protein in its metastable prefusion (preF) form has enabled access to potent neutralizing antibody sites and allowed for rapid advances in RSV prevention.</p> Recent Findings <p>This review will discuss recent advancements in infant RSV prophylaxis and future directions in the prevention of RSV disease in this vulnerable population.</p> Summary <p>Exciting new therapeutics have been approved to protect infants from developing severe RSV disease and more therapeutic advancements are on the horizon. However, many questions remain, and ongoing research and clinical trials are crucial to protect this vulnerable population.</p>

Purpose of Review

Tremendous strides have been made in preventing respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) disease in infants over the past 10 years. Stabilization of the RSV fusion (F) protein in its metastable prefusion (preF) form has enabled access to potent neutralizing antibody sites and allowed for rapid advances in RSV prevention.

Recent Findings

This review will discuss recent advancements in infant RSV prophylaxis and future directions in the prevention of RSV disease in this vulnerable population.
