An overview on vertex stabilizers in vertex-transitive graphs

We give an overview on some results concerning the cardinality and the structure of vertex stabilizers in vertex-transitive graphs. Throughout this exploration, we revisit classical results, highlight unresolved problems, and explore new avenues of research in this domain.
