Tunnel Movement Verification with Parametric Study: Analytical Solution and Finite Element Analysis
摘要
In this paper, a case study of twin tunnels through a slope was conducted. Two main methodologies were used to investigate the settlement characteristics. The first is the finite element analysis and the second is an analytical solution through linear elastic equations to make a comparison between the results. To maintain slope stability, rows of piles have been distributed along the slope. Parametric studies were performed to make a wide configuration for the settlement behavior with considering a relaxation time before putting the first shotcrete support. In addition to a good agreement between the finite element analysis and the analytical solution, the results demonstrated a good agreement with the site measurement.
