摘要

Steady economic development implies that the entrepreneurial process should be redesigned in the right manner. This is because the conventional view of entrepreneurship, especially in developing countries, is based on informal entrepreneurial practices with little creativity and innovation, whereas in the modern economy, these entrepreneurial activities are considered the basic stimulus of growth and employment. On the other hand, although research has been conducted on creativity and structured methodologies in entrepreneurial design, there is still a lack of understanding of how entrepreneurial innovation factors contribute to the top performance of innovative products. Thus, this study intends to address this research gap by examining the relationship between innovation capabilities and innovation culture, especially how they influence innovation performance in entrepreneurial firms. The results suggest that innovation capability has a positive and significant effect on both culture and performance. Additionally, innovation culture has a positive and significant effect on innovation performance. Innovation culture was also found to significantly mediate the relationship between innovation capabilities and performance. The results of this study lay out potential guidelines for the assessment and improvement of innovation performance and suggest how innovative environments can be created to promote the processes that lead to the enhancement of innovation and growth among entrepreneurial ventures.
