The mediating action of innovation on the performance of MSMEs in rural communities of Sonora, Mexico
摘要
This study aims to analyze the factors of entrepreneurial orientation, knowledge management, and social capital as elements that influence organizational performance through innovation. Micro, small, and medium-sized commercial and service companies located in rural areas were used as the unit of analysis, employing a quantitative approach supported by the SmartPLS4 system. The results indicate that both entrepreneurial orientation and knowledge management through innovation serve as effective strategies for enhancing organizational performance. In contrast, social capital through innovation does not provide differentiating elements that contribute to performance in a significant way.
