Purpose of Review <p>The purpose of this integrative review is to show to clinicians and radiologists the relevance of appropriate images with the maximum reproduction fidelity when assessing CBCT scans to detect alterations in the trabecular bone in MRONJ.</p> Recent Findings <p>CBCT is a useful exam for detecting MRONJ in the following bone alterations: mandibular cortical thickness and periosteal reaction, which are related to the condition of altered bone pattern prior to clinical exposure of the bone and are predictive of MRONJ. CBCT is also useful for three-dimensional localization of bone sequestration in order to plan a surgical procedure.</p> Summary <p>CBCT provides detailed and three-dimensional images of the maxillofacial region, allowing for an accurate assessment of the extent and severity of MRONJ. CBCT enables precise localization of the affected area, aiding in the development of effective treatment.</p>

Purpose of Review

Recent Findings
