<p>This scoping review investigates the relationship between executive function (EF) and key life domains, including social cognition, school function, activities of daily living, and quality of life in children aged 6 to 18 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Following Arksey and O’Malley’s framework, a comprehensive literature search across multiple databases identified 28 relevant peer-reviewed studies. The findings indicate that children with ASD often experience significant impairments in essential EF components, such as inhibition, cognitive flexibility, and working memory. These deficits negatively impact their social cognition, educational outcomes, daily living skills, and overall quality of life. The review highlights the necessity for thorough EF assessments and targeted interventions to improve the well-being of children with ASD in clinical and educational settings.</p>
