Benign thyroid nodule mimicking residual disease on positron emission tomography/computed tomography in a patient with concurrent thyroid and gastric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: the value of ultrasound-guided biopsy
摘要
We report a rare case of concurrent thyroid and gastric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) that was diagnosed via fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT). We performed 18F-FDG PET/CT to assess the therapeutic response, revealing a hypermetabolic nodule in the thyroid gland that initially suggested residual disease. Ultrasound-guided biopsy revealed a benign condition, leading to continued monitoring of the patient.
