Purpose of Review <p>Vector-borne diseases (VBDs) represent 17% of the global infectious disease burden, expanding rapidly due to an interconnected matrix of climate change, rapid urbanization, land-use modifications, and globalization. This review analyzes advancements in controlling pathogens such as dengue, malaria, Chagas disease, leishmaniasis, and Oropouche virus.</p> Recent Findings <p>Findings highlight a transition toward precision biotechnology: the use of Wolbachia and gene editing; dual-action nets and new vaccines; and the “One Health” approach. The emergence of viruses like Oropouche and the necessity of monitoring unconventional vectors are emphasized. Effective control in the Anthropocene requires moving beyond single-strategy solutions, integrating artificial intelligence, digital surveillance, and interventions at the human-animal-environment interface.</p> Summary <p> Success depends on addressing socio-climatic determinants and fostering the resilience of adaptive health systems.</p>

Purpose of Review

Vector-borne diseases (VBDs) represent 17% of the global infectious disease burden, expanding rapidly due to an interconnected matrix of climate change, rapid urbanization, land-use modifications, and globalization. Recent Findings
